Florida Urban Leagues and Derrick Brooks Charities are focused on helping local communities recover and remain resilient for the future. In 2020 Florida Urban Lea response includes closing the gaps in health equity, building stronger more resilient communities and ensuring that basic needs such as food access are met.

We continue to advocate for the equitable distribution of testing supplies, health services, and resources in low-income communities and demand quality data reporting of COVID-19’s impact on minority populations throughout the State of Florida.
Economic Recovery
We remain laser-focused on mitigating the long-term impact of COVID-19 on vulnerable populations, especially for those who were already struggling to make ends meet.
Basic Needs
We believe that low-income families can be healthier when basic needs are met. Through a coordinated system of resources, we ensure individuals and families have access to healthy food and income supports.
